961 Kiss Mid-Days

I am liking Shay Shay on Mid-Days at Kiss. I like the "Pittsburgh's Most Requested." Seems like they are attempting to interact more with people.<P ID="signature">______________

I heard that Carson Daly's show was cancelled. Have they replaced it with a local request show at Noon? Shay Shay is OK...But her voice can get irritating after awhile.

My favorite DJ is Dylan! I wish he was on Nites which is when I mainly listen to the station. What a huge improvement over (gag) SCOTTY.

I think the station has improved immensely. They have added alot of mainstream hits. :)

Ew, I think Dylan suckkkkkkkkkks. His voice is so annoying. And yes, they did replace it with a local request show at noon. Why did CD's show get canned?

Dave

I work at another station that carried Carson and they did can the show we got an email saying eventually they will be replacing it with a new program. He wants to focus on his late night show on NBC.

Also, I think Dylan sounds 100 times better than what Scotty was doing. Plus the music sounds better than ever. I think most of this has something to do with the new PD, Alex.

Apparently Carson is getting another show, but I don't know if it will be carried by 96.1 Kiss:

Carson Daly Show Cancelled
Feb. 06, 2006
By Katy Bachman, Mediaweek

SOURCE: Mediaweek.com

Carson Daly’s weekly syndicated radio show “Most Requested” will air its final broadcast on March 31. The countdown show had about 100 affiliates.

Premiere Radio Networks, syndicators of the one-hour show, plan to relaunch a new show hosted by Daly that will concentrate on exposing radio listeners to emerging and new artists as he does in his TV show, NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. Artists such as Maroon 5, The Killers and Joss Stone made their late night debuts on Daly’s NBC TV show.

“This new program will allow me the opportunity to continue to expose up-and-coming talent to a wide range of music fans just as we do on ‘Last Call,’” said Daly in a statement released late Friday.

Premiere is the programming division of Clear Channel Radio.
