This is true. You know, I have found that for my aches and pains, one bud of grass soaked inside of a bottle of isopropyl alcohol is an amazing solution to what ails me. It works wonders, and I've become a firm believer in it. I would likely fail a drug screening, but it certainly is nice to get out of bed in the mornings and not have a hard time doing it.
The therapeutic effect of CBD is about as good without the mind-shifting effects. Give it a try.

I have never experienced a "high" from use of the rubbing alcohol. 😂 heck, I haven't experienced a real "high" since 1998.

I will certainly look into the CBD. Not hard to find here...the smoke shops (or what we used to call head shops) have sprung up on nearly every corner here in the last few years.

In Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire, you can buy CBD oils and edibles at gas station convenience stores, no need to go to a smoke/head shop. Does Texas really restrict their sales to the latter?

Yeah, yeah, this current tangent has nothing to do with radio or country music, other than that you, David and I appreciate both.

K-Love is their dominant format and the one that produces the most in donations. And that is the name they paid "big bucks" to get released for use in Houston.
Why didn’t they have KLOVE on 103.7 when they purchased it instead of AIR1?

I'm pretty sure you can buy some form of CBD at the local gas station. I've never seen anything related at the closest one to me, which is a 7-11, but both the Delek and Cefco on Texas 64 sells all kinds of paraphernalia, conveniently located at the register, locked in a glass case. Even vape pens. Remember, this is Texas. You can't even buy beer until noon on Sundays, and in Smith County you can't buy liquor at all. Hell, you couldn't even buy beer here until a decade ago. This was a dry county.

And rolling papers?

Isn't that a good reason to buy the Houston Chronicle and look for pages without a lot of printing on them.
About the only good reason to buy an actual newspaper nowadays. It's getting rather difficult to even find a printed Morning Telegraph on a rack here in Tyler. Come to think of it, I saw a stack of Dallas Morning Heralds on the rack at 7-11 the other day, that were a day old. Someone must have forgotten to stop by and change that one out.

I really don’t think this is this is the place to talk about it. But CBD can cause you to fail a drug test. CBD typically has a very very tiny percent of THC in it. Someone I’m really close with has never consumed weed in any form in their life but did take a CBD gummy from a gas station and failed a court required drug test because of it.

Similar to the trace of alcohol in "NA" beer? That won't get you a DUI ticket or even a warning, so why should a trace of THC be all that's needed to be denied a job?

Hey, the moderator has yielded the floor to the discussion, so fair game.
Are you two trying to poke this New England "gummied" bear? To paraphrase ol' Merle: "When you're runnin' down print, hoss, you're walkin' on the fightin' side of me!"
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, partner. Well done. My apologies to you...and Merle.

Denied a job, no, but he mentioned a court appointed screening. That's a whole different game. Any amount of any unapproved substance can get your probationary period revoked here.

Everything I have read indicates that CBD from hemp has no THC. Of course, nobody has a home lab to verify the source of their CBD...

we’re just having fun. It’s ok to get our minds off radio for a breather and have intelligent discussions on important topics
The subject is radio advertising of both CBD products and Marijuana. Knowing the difference between legal hemp derived CBD and Marijuan is critical if a station wants to make sure they are in compliance with Federal laws and regulations.

Yes, but the "point of relevance" is related to whether such products and dispensaries can be advertised on the radio while still conforming to local and federal laws.
