97.1 FM country legends

They did seem weaker when I first noticed their HD off a few days ago. I didn't know for sure because I'm pretty close to them.
Ktht isnt the only station wiping out KEGL. There are dozens of other stations doing the same thing, in Dallas 🤣
All the hot air being blown by KEGL hosts is creating temperature inversions that, instead of bringing in different stations to their listeners, instead sends those listeners to different stations.🤪🤣

I don’t think they broadcast in stereo, it at least doesn’t get picked up on a seek… The tuner in my garage is old enough to drink, it’s a mid-90’s Denon that I’m shocked still works. I also don’t go out of my way to listen to the content on KAFR while wrenching on something in the garage 🤣

So there is different metadata on 97.1 depending in whether you have an HD radio or not? Odd. On my car HD receiver on 97.1 I am just seeing a static “Country Legends 97.1” on the song title and artist fields, but on 92.9 HD-2 I see full artist/song info.
Of course prep work may be happening at the KTHT transmitter ahead of the EMF takeover, so engineering changes might be expected.
Yep, the tuner in my truck allows me to turn HD on/off on the fly so I was able to quickly confirm. On the HD carrier, I get "Country Legends 97.1" for title/artist, but on analog, RDS gives me "Now Playing $title by $artist", with the title/artist correctly populated.
Another note, it looks like the website and streaming has been moved over to Urban One's services. The URL for 97.1's stream is now https://15233.live.streamtheworld.com/KKBQHD3AAC.aac, so I am guessing that 92.9-HD2 is technically the "primary" station for the simulcast.
Just noting that EMF has applied to change newly acquired KXXF to KLTW, which might mean the KTHT call will also be replaced.

K-Love Texas Winnie? Or are they pulling a KTWL for The Woodlands even though the signal doesn't reach there? I could see EMF being interested in KTWL and the Houston translator to basically have 1 super 105.3.
Also I wonder if they will ever change the calls for KHJK. They could change it to KHAI to match their other 103.7 signals in San Antonio and Corpus Christi KZAI & KXAI.
I’ve been hearing Country Legends running spots with Scott Sparks directing listeners to 92.9 HD2 and calling it high definition radio. We all know that’s not what the HD stands for here but on that same note, Scott Sparks also voices a liner on 106.9 HD2 calling it “Expanded High Definition radio”, that’s been running there for years. Does he not know that the HD stands for Hybrid Digital? I did a check on 92.9 HD2 today and it’s not even close to high definition. It sounds horrible. Still the same bad quality it was when KCOH was on that sub channel. Is no one over there aware of this?
