97.3 call letters change?

101.5's legal ID doesn't seem to be saying "WIXM Millville" anymore, but I can't seem to make out what the new letters are. Did 97.3 change call letters?

It's WXKW, Millville ... as of Monday 6/26/06
WKXW-FM will become WKXW on Friday 6/30/06
WKXW became WENJ, Atlantic City on Friday 6/23/06

It's always stuck me as kind of curious that NJ101.5 has kept the WKXW call letters for all these years. One would think that they would have call letters with NJ in them.

Why mess with success ... the call letters take up about 6 seconds a day of airtime.

WNJW (and many other WNJ_) call letters are taken by New Jersey Network.

I'm assuming here, I'm sure Tom can tell me if I'm correct...

Since there's no longer a WKXW-AM it's not necessary for NJ 101.5 to include the "-FM" when ID'ing themselves (when an AM and an FM share call letters the method is the AM identifies as WXXX and the FM identifies as WXXX-FM)

As for 97.3 the WIXM was a leftover from its short stint as Mix 97.3. WXKW is WKXW backwards since it's the 101.5 simulcast.
