97.3 goes Nash

And that, my friends, is what is wrong with ownership deregulation. I can see Cumulus taking this further and following the K-Love example, in which they will run all programming from corporate headquarters and just maintain the local stations as transmitter sites. Hey, more layoffs, lower expenses, and more money in Lew Dickey's greedy pockets!

The big media companies need to be broken up, as Standard Oil was about a century ago. But our paid-off congressmen would never allow that. Heaven forbid that we have radio stations that actually serve their communities (with a few exceptions, such as WHLM, one of the few mom-and-pop stations left in our area).

Also, the frequency in question is 93.7. 97.3 is in Harrisburg and is owned by another big corporation.

I'm not impressed. Listened for over a 1/2 hour and even though the "jocks" talked, there was not one station identifier. Froggy has nothing to fear.
