Yup, 95.7 will no longer do Christmas music, ending the tradition there for 19 years (excluding 2024). Potentially, they could move the "Milwaukee's Christmas Station" slogan over to 97.3.
WRIT actually sat out Christmas last year, aside from the week of. Between B93.3 and WRXS, along with the various religious stations, they probably saw it as overkill, and decided to make WRIT the alternative to wall-to-wall yule. By that point, B93.3 pretty much owned Christmas in the market.
Could be another reason they decided to acquire the IP and format of B93.3. They can go all-Christmas nice and clean (the listeners pretty much expected it), without having to blow up their highly rated classic hits station for two months to do so.
