97.3 translator Poughkeepsie, is repeating 103.1 WJGK, Newburg.

Yeah right! This translator at 97.3 is covered by WKXP & WZAD's "The Wolf". That must be the real problem that 105.9's translator in Red Hook is repeating WKZE, and it is interfering with WQSH's "Crush-FM" at 105.7 up in Albany. WKZE's translator was at 99.1 before it moved its frequency was interfering with WKIP-FM's "News/Talk 99.3" in Ellenville, NY where they had a great signal towards Kingston and New Paltz. Look what happened in New York City. 106.3's translator is interfering a country station "Thunder 106" in New Jersey. Same thing happened here.

It really depends where you are noticing 97.3 WZAD 'The Wolf ' "covering up". W247AW owned by River Vale Media puts a, decent for a translator, signal into the Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park area. However, like most Poughkeepsie repeater stations the spectrum is tight , and they must prevent interference with a second adjacent station( as well as WZAD itself) ; in this case 97.7 WCZX, therefore 97.3 is limited to only 10 watts.
