97.5/101.5 The River

Noticed it was on yesterday afternoon then went poof during a Beach Boys tune.
Sounded good for those few minutes.

I think they have been practicing their theme song... "The Sound of Silence".... or is it "Down In The Boondocks"?

From my research, this translator is located in Montgomery.  I'll be in that area,Tuesday, weather permitting.  While I'm there, I'll check into these two frequencies and see what's happening.  When I return then I'll share my findings.

R.D.P. <><

P.S. Hope my findings will result in something exciting to share.

...and the 101.5? Is that a translator somewhere?

An old thread on this topic http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/topic,98507.msg765822.html#msg765822

There has been previous discussion on the board here about this translator on 101.5 in Montgomery. But...I can't find any record in the FCC database for a translator on 101.5 near Montgomery...no application, CP, or anything licensed. The closest I could find was an application for a translator on 101.5 in Selma. Obviously, that's not it. There's also one licensed to Greenville on 101.5. Is that the one in question, or am I missing something here? ???

Usually Stroh changes formats after a few months on the air- looks like the River has to flow a different direction before it gets going. Bluewater threw Alice in to the River this afternoon at 5pm.
