97.5 HD2

Don't know when this changed ... I'm thinking today since 97.5's HD2 was off yesterday ...
But, they are running a "Now 97.5" Christmas format on the HD2 ...
Kinda strange to me, since they seem to be using the same liners they used last year (i.e. "Philadelphia's New Home For The Holidays") ...

Thoughts ?

97.5 sounds fantastic, I think its the same liners, interviews, hard drive and titles from last year, the 60 minutes of commercial free Christmas music slogan from last year really takes me back. I think they were thinking of having the same Christmas format as last year starting early, but the rotton powers to be put this sports garbage on instead. The music sounds identical to last years list, very close to the old Sunny. I don't know about anyone else, but I am listening to them non-stop, I cannot tolerate OGL or the B's library and have not had them on much, being a Christmas music freak, but 97.5 is the true sound of Christmas and easy on the ears....Funny thing, at the Sephora inside the Pennys at the Cherry Hill mall today, 97.5 HD-2 was playing/blasting which took me by surprise, being a large chain and actually having an HD-radio. The old NOW liners and other teasers on the air now makes me think after the holiday 97.5 HD-2 will resurrect as NOW 97.5 HD-2...I just wish 97.5 would put the Christmas music on the main signal and unload that crap on their now...Pirate are you receiving the HD-2 signal all the way out in Toms River, because I have a hard time with them and I can see the Mermaid Lane tower from my back room LOL...

I don't pick up 97.5 HD consistently, but it does come in pretty often over here ...

Do you pick up any other Philly HD-2-3's, in my location- WRFF, WBEB and WIOQ are the strongest, I am around 6 miles from Rox, and of course MMR but I am only a mile from Liberty. Do you grab WSTW-HD-2 they seem to be the strongest HD I receive not local.... I am about 25 miles from their Xmtr and they are always loud and clear....for a smaller tower site.

The Philly HD's I get here most often are: WMMR, WYSP, WRDW, WPEN (FM) and WMGK ...
I have gotten WSTW before, but it's rare to get them over here ...
The farthest HD's I've gotten are WZZO and WLEV from Allentown ...

I love the Christmas music on 97.5 HD-2.I hope NOW 97.5 will be back after Christmas on 97.5 HD-2.after all they are calling 97.5 HD-2 the New NOW 97.5

Their regular soft rock format is on HD-2, I wonder if they would have any high ratings on their HD-2 since the main format does quite well throughout the year....

Re: 97.5 HD2 - Why Not 104.5 HD?

Too bad CC doesn't put the Sunny Christmas on 104.5 HD. They could use all the old Sunny 104.5 liners, clips, jingles & music. I think some people here might even get an HD radio for that!
