97.5 KFNC Transmitter issues ?

Last weekend, I traveled through the Beaumont and Lake Charles area and noticed when I got near Winnie that 97.5 had "splatter" across much of the dial. I could hear 97.5 bleeding over the dial as far as 96.5 to the left and to 99.5 to the right of the dial. I was listening on a Ford Factory Radio in a 2005 Ford Expedition driving to Louisiana on a Friday and coming back to Houston on Sunday, I was listening on a 1999 Ford Mustang Factory Radio, which I had the same results.
I felt sorry for listeners in Winnie who normally tune into 96.5, 97.1, 97.9 and 99.1. These were defenitely unlistenable because of 97.5's splatter.
The issue may be resolved by now, its Thursday and I haven't traveled back in that direction since Sunday.
If anyone is going out that way soon, please check it out and see if the issue is still happening with 97.5.

thanks,
Shane

I feel sorry for them, too, but for a different reason. ;D

I think that 97.5 is making up for the lack of coverage in Houston by covering as many frequencies as possible in the immediate transmitter area.

Either an errant cow has tripped over a guy wire changing the mu angle... or they have an expensive problem with a reasonably new (and expensive) transmitter.
