As reported in the Nashville and Alabama boards, 97.5, which had the home for CHR legend WABB for decades, will go back to CHR. Earlier this year, EMF bought the station and changed it to the K-Love format. In a surprise move involving several frequencies and two cities, Cumulus swapped 98.3 in Mobile for the more powerful 97.5. In exchange, EMF will now own 97.1 in Nashville.
I highly doubt the WABB calls will return to 97.5, since the Dittman family still owns the calls on AM. Even if it were, it wouldn't be the same WABB as it was in the Dittman era. But I am glad that the format is returning back to its rightful home on the Gulf Coast.
