97.5 The Fanatic Changes

I only every really sampled the show via the NBC Sports Philadelphia simulcast, and I started tuning into Ike, Spike & Fritz on WIP during the Eagles’ recent SB run, and IS&F sound a lot more dynamic than BSE (the question mark at the end of the name is just brutally dumb). Any time I popped on NBCSP, it seemed to be Johnson ranting on a subject, which felt exhausting/boring.

Edit: it does appear the “Best Show Ever?” Branding is dead, replaced with simply “The Afternoon Show”

I don't mean to sound too dismissive, but I think 97.5 has more opportunity for that frequency than sports. I don't care for modern country but I think a country format different than XTU could do well there. Maybe a country format that plays a slightly older mix. Or even a Breeze-type format.

97.5 has gone through Classic Rock, Smooth Jazz and Hot AC. Sports has lasted 4x longer than all 3 of those formats put together. I'm not a fan of Sports stations but I can't think of another format that can surpass a year if put on 97.5.

This is a very good point.
