97.5 The Fanatic New Schedule

I wanted to know what everyone thought of the new schedule that 97.5 The Fanatic rolled out this week.

what is the new schedule?

What happened to Brian Baldinger? Also, I am not a fan of Tony Bruno these days. The Schtick has gotten old with me. Maybe as a solo he is different. Overall, it is a so so lineup. I do like Marks but just don't think Brace is ready for a show. Smart move by the station though - cheap talent and low risk. They went in big on Mike Miss and it paid off.

Personally, I think the radio station is desperately trying to get something together to compete with WIP for all time slots not currently being filled by Mike Missanelli.

The move to again team up Bruno and Mayes is solid. There's going to be a lot of nonsense in the show but that's what Bruno has always brought to the table. Anything to lessen the air time of Jon Marks, which I think was the main point of this change. I try to be positive but I think Jon Marks is terrible. He was better when he was producing for Mike Missanelli because he usually gave a differing opinion on many topics which would then develop into a nice back and forth between the two. Sean Brace left a lot to be desired when he produced Mike's show. I'm not sure Jon and Sean will ever develop the show into a sustainable five day a week program.

I don't dislike Marks although he is far from my favorite. Brace isn't ready for mid-day. I don't think that will be a long-term answer. I like Baldinger much more in that time slot. Oh well.

I feel like last yr a decision was made to either pull the plug, or make one big move to try & compete with WIP. They choose a big move, & that move was getting the flyers & 76ers.

Problem is the flyers ended up having a lockout that recently ended, and the 76ers are back to being in the bottom or near the bottom of the standings. The ratings for them are probably not what 97.5 was counting on, and the flyers might start dropping if they don't improve either.
