97.5 Transmitter Move

Is there any target date for the shut down of the old WPST 97.5 Trenton transmitter? Hate to see that go...... a lot of history at that site. Of course the move to Roxborough gives GM another Philly signal. This means 97.5 will disappear from my radio in Essex County.

Roxborough is in northwest Philadelphia. WJJZ-97.5 will transmit from Wyndmoor, just north of Philadelphia.

Putting 97.5 at Roxborough would cause interference to WOGL-98.1, which transmits from the WCAU-10 tower.

wyndmoor is about 1\4 mile from the highest elevation point in philadelphia : the chestnut hill section ... around the 8700 block of germantown avenue ............ i had often wondered why more towers were not constructed near there by american tower . roxborough is high , and the antenna farm there is quite large , but next to none in transmitter populus in the wyndmoor \ chestnut hill locale .............lafayette hill , out ridge pike is high , too , near where wibg , a storer station , back then , used to have their studios located , besides the tower there , i think ...
