97.5 WJJZ cooljazz heard in Wilmington

When WJJZ went from 106.1 to 97.5 I was unable to pickup the new station. I believe that 97.5 did relocate their tower so that they'd have a more solid signal into Philly ( I believe this is a Burlington,NJ station). As a result of the tower move, we here in the Wilmington area can again enjoy cool jazz at 97.5. Things are looking up for Wilmington, first WRTI adds a Wilmington translator at 107.7 bringing in a intown signal for Classical Music and Jazz and now WJJZ adds Cool Jazz to the Wilmington airwaves.

So now depending on what I'm in the mood for my daytime listening goes like this, before leaving home WILM for news/weather/traffic/sports. At work, I listen to: either WJJZ, WRTI, WXCY or WHYY until 9am and then I switch to WPHT for Glenn Beck, usually for the first hour of his show (depends on his topics I sometimes listen to all three hours), then to WJJZ, WRTI, WXCY,or WHYY until noon. Then Allan Loudell on WDEL for the noontime report. Then either WILM for Rush, or WHYY for their various news/talk shows (again depending on the topics of Rush vs NPR shows, whichever interest me most that day gets my ear), and then at 3pm either WHYY for Fresh Air or WRTI, WXCY, or WJJZ till quiting time (again depending on Terry's Gross's guests and topics). So much choice, ain't it great.

The only thing missing is a solid Oldies station, WVLT doesn't come in at work and not very well at home, and WOGL is boring, so when I want oldies I play my tapes and CD's. What an opportunity for AM 1290, or rimshot 101.7 WJKS from Canton/Salem.

Why limit yourself to radio? Why not go online and listen to great oldies like the "newly reborn" WCBS-FM, WDRC-FM in Hartford, KFRC in San Francisco, legendary KOOL-FM in Phoenix, WODS Boston ... and, in a pinch, www.HyLitRadio.com and good ol' www.WAMSoldies.com

For those of us at big corporations, we cannot listen to internet streams (unless it is a company webcast). In the car, internet radio is out of the question. So unless you are sitting in your home office, internet streams are not practical.
