I was wondering what time will the new 97.5 WJJZ be signing on? Tomorrow is when the new station is supposed to sign on and will replace the Hawk. Do any of you know the exact time of the flip? I was going to go and buy a cassette and record the flip tomorrow. Thanks.

i need to find that out myself... the hawk is my favorite station

Have no clue, but obvisously times to listen are as follow. Ones in bold have a good chance. The others are offshot chances

Midnight tonight
6:00 AM
9:00 AM
Noon
3:00 PM
5:00 PM

Ofcoarse they could also start stunting say at midnight, but not do the sign on until tommorow at 5:00. I think they may be some stunting in the sense of maybe some random noises, followed by a message directing listeners to tune into 102.9. I don't seem them doing the flip without any notice to tune into 102.9 for classic rock.

check this out from Sunday's Philadelphia Inquirer: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/magazine/daily/15989178.htm

Seems like they will just dump the standalone format to go with the simulcast ASAP. Then, Friday is the day to listen. Maybe a brief statement by a suit at Nassau thanking the audience for the years of the Hawk, but don't count on it.

Am I the only one that would find it appropriate if they launched WJJZ at 1:06PM Friday?

Be listening at 7:00PM tonight this is the time the flip will take place. My info comes from a friend of mine at Nassau

i have a better idea as an announcement...

F### 102.9,

ALL 97.5 THE HAWK FANS GO TO 105.7 THE HAWK!

thats what they should do, because 102.9 and 97.5 have TOTALLY different audiences... 102.9 is more classic hits than classic rock

Classic Rock in philly is dead and gone for good...105.7 swhould be receptable and so should 99.9... 1 of the 2 is almost gaurenteed...

105.7 comes in great in the levittown area, im not sure about philly, but 99.9 the hawk should come in in parts of philly, and upper bucks county
