Does anyone think that Trumper may have decided not to continue 97.5 as a move-in to Phoenix? There still is nothing on the air, not even stunting.

Well you know when the station ran that disco stuff they were coming in great. Now even with nothing on the air its all static like when you can't get a station in. Sometimes I do hear ESPN radio come in but then fades back to static. Not sure if that is interference from another station or what.

Trumper is probably trying to find a location within the Phoenix area for the station's studios. From what I've read, Marathon may have been running 97.5 temporarily out of KSWG's studios/offices in Wickenburg, even during the short lived Hurban format.

Hopefully, Trumper does some market research and planning before hitting the air with a permanent format like Cutchall and company did with 95.1.

Seriously, are you kidding? I doubt someone who would pay $22MM for a station would roll over and die before hitting the market. That would be like NASA telling the astronauts of Apollo 11, "Commander Armstrong this is Houston, we don't have a problem. We've just decided to cancel the Moon landing. Turn that baby around and come on home." Years were spent moving it from Flagstaff. Why would anyone decide to go back north and play in the sticks?

They're probably making dang sure that they pick the right format and have staff and studios ready to go before turning the carrier back on. With so many frequencies in Phoenix, coming to the air with the wrong format would be a monumental and costly mistake.

Or they could be in the process of a turn and burn with a variety of individuals.
