97.9 Exa FM

How is this station sounding? Doing anything special? Jocks? Music? Programming? How is it overall?

Thanks in advance for your feedback from a guy 4 states away, but VERY familiar with Central and Northern CA radio...

They are now the #6 Spanich station in the market, but the sum of the first 5 is 15 times the audience share of Exa.

It is up from its share before becoming Exa, but is not doing at all well.

Interesting. What do you think the problem is? I've only heard about 2 hours of it when it first launched and to me it was too HIP HOP... Too Urban. Hmm... Not sure if either of those are the words I want to use... LOL...

I'm curious - which market? Fresno? Bakersfield? Stockton/Modesto? Central Coast?

Which market is the station in? Monterey-Salinas.

Thanks! See the moderator sticky above...this board covers a whole bunch of markets in a span of hundreds of miles...identifying which market is always helpful.

Heck, in the region this board covers, there are probably four 97.9's alone!
