I only listened to 25 minutes or so. I don't want to get a rep as being a Jeff Fisher hater. I'm not. I don't know the guy. Nothing personal. But for my ears, and from a radio standpoint, he just seems to overdo everything. I feel that he doesn't take it seriously. Jeff needs to back off and stop pushing his personality and voice so much. I find his voice to be grating and it's like he is doing a bad impression of an old radio announcer from years ago - you know the type - a cupped hand over his ear as he talks. Just lay back Jeff! Ted of course is a pro. He does "lay back" and just goes with the flow, being "Ted" and doing what he does. That's what makes the weekday morning show successful. It is the naturalness of Jack, Sharon and Ted, mixed with the content and information.
I don't know if Jeff reads this board. Probably! If so, give it a try Jeff. Stop being influenced by the mental reality of being "on air" and just try to speak naturally, warmly, and one to one with the audience. It works!
I on the other hand was impressed. I was not happy about losing Dan Ruth (who I disagree with everything he says for the most part) but I must say, this show rocks. Teddy was very good and I happen to like Jeff’s personality as well as the flaws.
Wow, it looks like cheap channel might have done something right for a change.
