970 WFLA news asleep this AM???

WELL OVER 30 minutes since the 1st news agency reported it online, and 3 others have followed suit plus an e-mail from me 15 minutes ago... and STILL WFLA has failed to mention a 3 alarm roof fire @ St. Pete High that has caused the cancellation of classes today... All I hear is the WSJ reports and rehashes of the now over RNC...Wouldn't this be something that both students and parents might need to know??? This is STILL AM drive, isn't it???

Finally... after yet another rehash of the RNC and 45 minutes AFTER the 1st FB notification from another news source... 970 WFLA mentions the fire... Yep... right on top of things.... Local radio is getting SO PATHETIC.....

Gee, I'm listening or watching you now for details and really don't want to go to the troble of logging on. The funniest was the day that the solar situation was to impede internet usage. "For details on what to do if you lose interent..go to our website for answers". Actually heard that one one of our local TV stations. As an aside and, oh by the way, if Denis Phillips isn't the premier weather person in this or any other market I'll eat a hurricane map.

Forget it flwfg, the Right Wing Noise Machine at WFLA was too concerned with recapping The Republican Inconveniance^H^H^H^H, I meant the Republican Convention (God forbid the Tampa Police DON'T shut down the entire Channelside district during the convention) to concern themselves with something like a million dollars worth of damage to a historic high school.
