970 WFLA vs. FOX 13 weather - which is actually live?

I happened to have WTVT FOX 13 on at the same time the radio was tuned to "AM Tampa Bay" on 970 this morning. Dave Osterburg was intro'ed by one of the anchors, into his weathercast on FOX 13, certainly appearing to be "real time" while Jack Harris was bantering with Dave on 970 at the same time around 7:15-ish a.m. (not the canned sound byte from whichever FOX 13 weather person is in the seat that day, that 970 airs after news breaks, etc.). Both seemed flawlessly real-time live but obviously one wasn't.

The 7:20 weather forecast on 970 WFLA -- the one where the WTVT meteorologist banters with the "AM Tampa Bay" hosts -- frequently is taped, if not always.

It's usually quite seamless, dipping in and out of real-time, but there have been one or two glitches (such as words cut off just a split second too soon) or other audio artifacts (such as changes in ambient background noise) that make the situation apparent. It surprised me the first time it became obvious, because it's usually handled perfectly, but I didn't really mind ... it's not like it was taped the night before.

Dave is always live on FOX13. He records the weather bits for WFLA.

Yes, I would have to agree that the radio forecasts are pre-recorded, whereas always appearing on camera live. It's easy to "fake" being live on the radio, as opposed to TV.
