No. as you all know, i'm the last guy in the loop to hear anything but last week, i heard a rumor circulating that a long time radio host of a morning show is thinking of calling it quits. this is not just a fit of pique or a negotiating ploy because i understand serious management meetings have already taken place. i've heard that three or four meetings have already been called on this subject. i can't imagine anyone of the big guns wanting to leave but i have heard sue berry advertise her real estate listings on wilk and the entercom group. am i nuts or just too gullible?

I don't know. I was in Revello's Friday night having
pizza. We had a very short blond waitress and we were
sitting at one of those very high bar tables. I literally
had to get a running start and pole vault onto the chair
with my cane. My dining companion, (her of the long legs)
had no such trouble. But I digress. As we sat there, (and the
place is real noisy to begin with) I picked up bits and
pieces of a conversation I heard at an adjacent table. Now
my back was to them and I was getting the standard "why
aren't you paying attention to ME ME ME!!!!" from my best
girl but amidst all that, I heard snippets of conversation about
said topic. It was a mixed table of 30 something Izod clad yuppies,
with a couple of Heinikns and a few trays of Red and White on
the table. They looked too well mannered and well dressed to
be radio sales people but maybe this new breed is making more
money than I did. And I not saying they were in radio either
because I have found that when I was in radio, interviewing
to get out of radio, those guys had more of the scoop than the
insiders. So, in my usually brief way, I end as I begun, I
don't know who's beatin' the Tom Tom.
