98.1 The Breeze

Can I just say what a fantastic listen 98.1 The Breeze is...it reminds me of a good traditional soft ac station, albeit one that is very much suited to 2025. They seem to do well in the audience figures too, not too sure on their demo breakdown - but a great station!

It's good that this station has continued as a Soft AC and not morphed into a standard AC format like other similar stations.

They found a niche. Going full-on AC would have meant being second fiddle to KOIT forever. This way I think they have a bigger chunk of the upper end of the 25-54 demo. And it is an easier listen these days than KOIT, which IMO plays too many songs that are too "bright/hot" for their format. (Of course their audience has stuck with them, so I guess it's a win-win.)
