98.1 The Bull IDs

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I found this thread searching for "KPEK-HD2 AND KQBI-HD2". Does anyone know why the legal ID on 98.1 the bull is sometimes "KPEK-HD2" and at other times "KBQI-HD2". I live too far away from ABQ to listen on RF, so this is what I'm hearing on the their audio stream.

I can’t tell you for certain why as I'm nowhere near Albuquerque at the moment either, but, if it's on both HD2 channels, I understand it can run its legal ID via display instead of on-air. So, it could be displaying “KBQI-HD2 Albuquerque” while announcing “KPEK HD2 Albuquerque” and remain legal.

It is cold outside, so I am not about to go out to the car :) However, HD Radio Directory in an 11/24 update has 107.9 (KBQI) as 98.1 -The Bull (Country), and 100.3 (KPEK) as Adult Album Alternative. So my guess is, that there was some moving around by iHeart without changing the ID

Historically, the classic country format was on KBQI-HD. Someone went through the trouble of making new voice ID's and then programming the computer to use them, switching between the two. The two transmitters are located a few hundred yards apart. KPEK's HD2 is supposed to be 90's dance music. Maybe when it's warm, you can endure iHeart's program for a few moments and find out what's going on on both frequencies.

KBQI-HD2 is the feed for the 98.1 translator. Having the signal KPEK looks like it just filler for something to pout on the HD-2 channel. I do notice a kind of trend going on about having other FM's on the HD-2 channel. KHFM on KABQ-HD3, for example.
