Well, with all the NOW available talent here in Memphis, could this be a golden opportunity for The Max. Don't know if CC is keeping the former employees to their non-competes - would surely suck, but wouldn't be suprising.

Imagine this...

Drake & Zeke in the AM
Bev in mid-days - sorry Meggan or whoever is left there
The Jar in the afternoon or nights
Wes Yahola either doing nights or overnights.

Good established local talent that could really spark some much needed interest in The Max.

Now lets hear what ya'll have to say.
 
I would love to see Jar get the afternoon drive on 98.1. It would definitely give a boost to that station.
 
don't expect anything like that to happen. I have been held to my NC in Tupelo, BUT I still have an appointment with an attorney to look it over just in case. BUT I think it's pretty air tight.
 
Yeah well even though I was fired from WEstwoodone or whatever they call themselves these days, I am still being held to a no compete until august 07. Must be nice to walk around with a cigar in your mouth and not know what your job is.
 
I think the Jar would fit in well. Maybe he can even play his Superman intro! That woudl rock! I hope the folks at 98.1 can snatch up a few of the 103 rejects.
 
They've already hired a guy from Houston for the afternoon gig and they're not gonna let Megan the sexpot go (they need those lusting listeners, ya know) - now whether she follows Randi and gets outta Dodge on her own is another story....

We should get D & Z to pull for the Jar. www.DrakeZeke.com has their message board. Post on there and let them know to snag Jar before Snap 94.1 does!! ;D

Were you told directly that the N/C was enforced? I assumed the non-compete here in Tuscaloosa would be enforced, as it has in the past. But a clause in the termination packet sparked my interest....3.8, I think. Assuming it's the same papers from San Antonio, it says this agreement supercedes any and all other agreements. I called the BM and asked, and she confirmed the N/C was null and void.
 
My attorney said he doesn't think the NC will hold up because of some of the wording. I'm not too worried about it honestly. Thanks for the input, though!
 
Anyone know what jarman is up to? Drake and Zeke said this morning that they'd like to hire Jarman to be their "Danger Boy". He could go around town and mess with people on the air.
 
I have a feeling come spring, he'll be back on the Memphis airwaves. I think 98.1 is a likely destination.
