What's the status on the sale? Two years is almost up.
Last I heard they are airing Sporting news from 12-6a and 6pm to 6a fri to monday.

and who's looking to purchase it?

(i assume both the FM and AM)

Looks like it could be another 3-5 years minimum. Star has appealed a court decision from Miami and it is not slated to reappear on the docket until the Fall at the earliest. But with Hale, who knows. They are still a Sporting News station. Their local morning show has really suffered since Scott McKinney decided to leave it and focus solely on his afternoon drive time show. His show is their most popular show in the ratings books by far and their largest income generator.

Is WTKE 1400 even on the air? I can't pick it up anywhere. I haven't heard that station in several years.
I've been working in Miramar Beach for the past few weeks. I can pick up 1290 from Panama City, but not WTKE-AM.
 
They had been simulcasting 98.1 with 1400 AM but the AM signal is off the air for repair issues according to someone at the Star office.
 
very weak here. yes, it's on the air. my car radio just /ignores it (though it did lock on 1450 one time)

It's on the air. About the only thing in this thread that's accurate (outside of where Poledo works, I won't impune his/her statements about employment) is our affiliation with SNR.
