98.1 WOGL Sunday Mornings

For those of you who listen to 98.1 WOGL you know that every sunday at 2am after the Saturday Night Dance Party they use to have Crusin with Khauna on. Now they pulled his show off to air a voice tracked Angela Mason on in Khauna's place. I'm on here to start a petition to get Khauna back on the air. If u ever listened to Khauna u already know he has a great show for the overnight. If I get enough people on here i can send the petition right to the PD Anne Gress. Help get Khauna back on the air at 98!
 
Crusin with Khauna was great show!! this Angela sounds like a freak she does not have a voice for radio same with bob charger. I dont listen to eather of them . but now that I got XM I dont listen to wogl much any more.I just love 50's on 5 !!!
BUT yes count me in get khauna back on the air !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your support tommy! I will tell u 1 thing Angela Mason came from Pitts. she is one of the worst air talents i ever heard in my life. She seems like a really nice person but a horrible air talent. The sad thing to is she isn't even on the air she's voice tracked cause she is on live 10am-2pm sat. & 1pm-4pm Sun. To think this is what 98 did to replace Christy Springfield is a damn joke. Now christy is stuck at 92.5 WXTU & is on the air less than Angela Mason. I've tried & tried to get into radio & can't get in but someone like Mason is in. It makes no sense what so ever. I've been told by radio pros i have what it takes to be on air so i know i'd be a better air talent then Angela. It's nothing personal with her either she just doesn't cut it especially in a major market like Philly. It seems she doesnt have a clue as to what to talk bout when she opens her mic. Come on people help get Crusin with Khauna back on. Let's go Original Cad Jack u work for 98 help us out.
 
Why would you say Christie is "stuck" at 92.5. Seems she is doing well there, and its not a bad place to work, at least its a job, just ask Razz.
 
He's "off" at 2am on Sunday mornings because he got a promotion at the station that requires him to actually work during the week. He has weekends off as an air talent. Chill out, dude.
 
Ok to answer your ? as to what i meant by Christy being stuck at WXTU. It's simple look at her choices when Oldies 950 went off. You had WOGL which the program director didn't like her to begin with so once she left there was no way to go back there. 2nd choice Sunny 104.5 which she almost wound up at but it didnt pan out. Now all that was left was 92.5 WXTU as a job. What i mean by being stuck is u have someone on the air like an Angela Mason in Philly that has no business being on in a major market then u have someone as talented as Christy who is on a rotated shift that's totally messed up. As for you Jack I already know that Khauna was promoted before u said anything. It was long over due to. My point is if Khauna was given the chance to have his show back i guarantee he would take it back. Even if he couldn't do it live anymore at the very least he could voice track it. A voice tracked Khauna is a heck of alot better than a voice tracked Angela Mason. I don't think u really know how many listeners Khauna actually had when he was on. He was a huge success. More people know him at the station promotions then they know the air talents that are with him. He deserves to be back on.
 
that is good that Khauna is still at WOGL but what is his new job.and I don't think that any show shold be voice tracked.tommymcarthy could do it live he had an on air show befor when he was Music Director and or he could do Street Corner Sunday.becouse any show will do better if its live then voice tracked !!bob charger and Angela Mason need to be taken off the air.angela does not have a voice for radio.and bob does not know how to talk into the mic.you can hear bob breath every time he talks.if WOGL got new DJ'S and played songs from the 60's a little more and played 50's music 12:00 am-6:00am they would do a lot better.WOGL don't call them selfs OLDIES 98.1 WOGL any more but every on still thinks of them as OLDIES 98 and the music they still do play is OLDIES !! mid 60's and 70's is OLDIES !! but then again it don't matter to me anyways I now have XM and I get all the 50's music I wan't !!
 
This is still another similiar WAMS saga. That's all this world needs is to petition a station on what they decide to do at 1 or 3 AM in the morning, especially during a weekend. It makes me wonder if the woman situation is really this bad. This might sound rehash to you, but petitioning congress for cheaper fuel would have more clout then an all night guy whether he's talented or not at 2 AM in the morning. LOL , did Julius put this guy up to this. It's just as much imnportant as we need to care about the All Star game being broadcast in every major market on the AM band. The hell with cable. I'd rather pay higher gas prices and not even think about our jobs going overseas, as long as every Philly La Crosse game is being broadcast over the major Philly airwaves. Are we really dumming down this badly?, or are some of these postees just playing us out. Mr. Tommy Graser, What are they really teaching you at Community College?
One more time, what is it that you don't understand???, this is not WFIL,WIBG, no one cares who's at 1 am in the morning let alone a few more who might care at 1PM in the weekday. The music has already been computerized and selected no matter who's on there. Your not gonna sell it for more money especially if it's not rated. Especially in that time slot. ???
THIS IS CORPORATE RADIO. Profit, profit profit.....budget budget budget. It's not nice, but there's other avenues. I'm getting along just great if someone stole just all my AM/FM radios in my house. I wouldn't know the difference.
Now, this is something new we could do with our time...let's get a list of all the receptionist that work at the radio stations, let's call them and get their names and shifts and we can rate who answers the phones and sounds the best. Then we can all discuss or argue over it. If anyone else who can come up with more creative ideas about this hobby.......It's all yours. Take it.
 
Apco25 for someone who doesn't care about radio you sure have alot to say. If you don't like the post that's your thing. You can think whatever you want about people not caring who's on the air at what time of day. There are people who actually care about who is on the air & who care about the music. If you don't care about either one of those 2 things then why are you here? Trash my post all you want but it has nothing to do with whoever Julius is I don't even know him. This post is about a station screwing up a great show regardless of what time it's on the air.
 
You don't know who that Julius guy is? He's got more notariety in Philly then that guy at 3 am in the morning your were petitioning. And he's not even on the air.
