I hear a station out of Belen on 98.1 called Eagle and they play 50's to 80's

Will 98.1 have any effect on 98.5

Who knows How many stations will be divested from the big guys here in Albuquerque.

Citadel Needs to drop one
Univision Needs to drop one
Clear Channel Needs to drop one???

who knows the poop

Okay here is a question? These stations you say will be dropped, are they AM or FM stations? Or a combination of each?

Don't know...all I know is the ABC/Citadel sales means Citadel has too many stations

Same with univison.

So don't know

If the ABC/Citadel deal is approved by the IRS, Citadel will divest KBZU. Clear Channel's FCC filings indicate it will divest 2 FM's in Albuquerque if it goes private. Of course, whether or not Clear Channel will go private keeps getting more and more doubtful, and they haven't announced which two FM's will be spun. However, it will almost certainly be two of the following three: KABQ-FM, KSYU and/or KTEG. I could also see them divesting 95.1 and 104.7 and moving either Hot or The Edge to 104.1.

Univision will have to divest one station, and it will certainly be KQBT 101.7. It's the poorest rated station in the cluster (and one of the poorest in the market), and it has the poorest signal in the cluster. Univision could also divest another station or two as they've indicated they will divest stations not part of their core strategy. So, that could mean a new owner for KIOT and maybe even KKSS.

Yep. Citadel will dump KBZU since ABC itself is keeping Radio Disney on 1240 with the overlapping ownership. Agree with your thoughts on Univision. With
Clear Channel, I'm guessing its a definte for 104.7 (based on signal); but the second one could either be 95.1 or 104.1. 104.1 has the superior signal, but with less spectacular numbers. So???

Eagle 98.1 = translator in Albuquerque at 10 watts of Eagle 98.7 = parent station licensed to Belen, at 100 watts.

How do I change my name from "Arcane Name" to my original anonymous log-in name?

Citadel has already placed 96.3 into a trust....while Univision did the same with 102.5 (a move that left lots scratching their head) The CC move is a bit cloudier. Even if they got rid of the frequency of Hot of the Edge, they could keep the format and put it on 104.1, since it appears that Jazz is shaky.
