98.3 The Bridge

I saw a sticker for 98.3 The Bridge on the back of an SUV tonight at the Harris Teeter... looked them up on Facebook and it seems like someone is finally succeeding with that signal. A lot of likes and interactivity with the listeners.

They appear to have a local studio. Anyone know where it is? They can't possibly be in that old ratty building in Blounts Creek?

I think the studio is somewhere in Chocowinity. Also, they just signed on a new signal yesterday, 104.5 WSTK to help them hit New Bern, Morehead, Havelock, etc. Neither of their signals come in very well in Martin County. 98.3 comes in good on an indoor radio in Williamston but fights with WDLZ in most car radios.

Just looked them up on the FCC. I am not sure that signal will help them much along US 70 between New Bern and Morehaead. It looks like it's way too far north. I was down there last weekend but didn't see this thread until now. I would have checked it out.

I believe the studio is actually the one at the 98.3 transmitter site. The address they give is on Old Blount's Creek Road.

They must have put a lot of TLC into that building. Last time I drove by it looked pretty bad.

I have tried listening to them but it just isn't my cup of tea. Too soft. I really liked the "Big Fish FM" when they were leasing 98.3. However I am still happy to see someone having success with the format, especially on that signal.
