98.5 future Rumor

Don't quote me on this, but from what I have been hearing in radio circles, 98.5 will flip to Adult Standards by the end of the summer at latest. The success of the now defunct WRDR, successful WOBM, plus the older population in this area warrant the switch. They can get away with advertisers/sponsors due to the fact the elderly population, especially in the Toms River area are well to do and do spend. This is just what I heard, its not fact, yet. It's not a Philadelphia post either. (Try the New Jersey Board)
WBBO (G Rock) is apparently the station he means.
It is not in the Philadelphia market. It covers parts of Monmouth-Ocean and Atlantic City.
Of course, the Adult Standards playlist could include Louis Armstrong, Nat "King" Cole and Ella Fitzgerald (among others).

There is no 98.5 staff. Ther're just simulcasting 106.3. By the way, 106.5 comes in better in Philly that 98.5 does. I was listening in the city today coming home from work.
 
No I wasnt talking about me. I am not even in that market anymore. Just asking. I didnt even know there wasnt a staff.
