98.5 HD 3

I noticed 98.5 fired up HD 3 subchannel. I listened briefly, it seemed to be some kind of sports betting program.

Could be BetQL, Audacy's sports betting network, which is basically their version of VISN (where some programming is heard on WARF 1350 The Gambler)

Does WQAL still have programming on HD3? Then three of the four Audacy stations are on HD1-3. WDOK doesn't have an HD3 subchannel.

HD 1-2-3 channels on FM, from 2 to 6 diginets for every TV station, satellite radio, and translators for many AM radio stations. How much more electronic media do we need, and can be successful in this environment?

^ Good question. When I was a kid, we had 3 TV channels and about a half dozen AM radio stations. And we were happy.
