98.5 in Tucson

For the last few months I have heard music on 98.5 off and on when I am scanning the dail. Anybody know what this is? The DJ says, KRDX Vail Tucson.It is on right now, about 3:00 pmIt's playin the EaglesWhat gives?-Jonk
 
KRDX looks to be a Ted Tucker project. It was most likely on the air to keep the license alive while Tucker looks for a buyer.
 
Hopefully when the get a buyer they won't switch up, carbon-copy, and completely mainstream the station and leave it the same or at least similar format.
 
What if it stayed Classic Hits though? It has been on all day today playing really good rock and roll. Some of the best that I have ever heard.I guess this is like KCDX in Phoenix. But with a better signal for Tucson.
 
It says, "Something new happening for Tucson very soon". I certainly hope it is something new. I wasn't quite impressed by what I heard, and as far as it being something "new", I can tell you - THAT, it wasn't.
 
CaveMan. You have been seen multiple times taking telephoto pictures of the KRDX site out in the middle of nowhere.What gives?
