98.5 KFOX

I think 98.5 KFOX is one of the best Classic Rock stations in the country, but this
station would sound even better if they had "The Big Show with John Boy and Billy"
in the morning. It's a great morning show and I was listening to it on the World Wide Web
this morning. Here would be my dream line-up for KFOX:

5-9am "The Big Show with John Boy and Billy"
9am-2pm Laurie Roberts
2-6pm Greg Khin
6-10pm Tim Jefferies
10pm-2am Billy Vega

Any thoughts?

Um...John Bob...Billy...in Silicon Valley?

"Jingle Jugs?"

North Carolina is a lovely state, but...

No.

I agree KFOX is a solid classic rocker, but my question is what's wrong with the current line-up or having Tim Jeffries on in the afternoon? Why does KFOX need a canned morning show from somewhere else? I think it's pretty cool they've got Greg on in the morning, though I'm sure a lot of his guests would probably prefer to show up at a later time of day.

I say hooray for a C.C. outlet keeping it local in all dayparts. If I wanted to hear more of anyone, it would be Sloppy Joe, but the fact that KFOX's programming and jock line-up is home-grown is a plus. Now if only more C.C. classic rockers would take that new Springsteen song to heart and play some deeper cuts once in a while, instead of calling "How Many More Times" or "Highway Star" a lost classic.

yeah.
tim jeffries , not only a rude guy but for someone who's been in the biz for as long as he has, he still sounds unprepared all the time. i cant listen to kfox for this reason... i couldnt listen to the bone when he was on, and i couldnt listen to ksjo when he was on....
KFOX plays too much grateful dead type classic rock. try 96.9 the eaglel out of sac, it does come in, in a lot of east bay places....

I know I get tired hearing greg talk about his band, his days in the band and his band friends, let's get a real dj with get this (real talent) doing am drive.

A classic rock station with a morning guy who has actually sold a record is a great thing. I would prefer to listen to a guy who can speak with a Joan Jett or a Journey member as a peer - someone that has actually shared an experience rather than kissing his rear.

I was in Ikea the other night, and over the canned background music, I heard uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh....one of the truly classic and most memorable lines from any song.
