98.5 WBON Adds Atlantic City AM Simulcast

1490 WTAA Pleasantville/Atlantic City has flipped from a Regional Mexican format "La Gran D" to a simulcast of 98.5 WBON Westhampton "La Fiesta"....I was surprised to see an Atlantic City station simulcasting a Long Island FM but it might make some sense....Doesn't 1490's signal reach the Southern Shore of Long Island?....I know Long Island stations like WALK-AM make it to the Southern Jersey Coast quite clearly.

Not at all. WGHC in Greenwich hits the south shore in the daytime.

WGHC is an inland station in Georgia, no way it makes it up the coast!
Yes, 1490 in Atlantic City does reach the southern shore and inland. ESPN 1450 from AC covers all of Suffolk County in the day.

I think the original poster cspence was referring to the station in Greenwich, Connecticut at 1490 AM: WGCH.
