98.5's Big Chance

Today and tomorrow should be very big days for 98.5 The Sports Hub. I know it isn't the politically correct thing to say, but they stand to gain a lot of listeners from WEEI due to the Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon. It's been mentioned on here in years past, how it's just not good radio to listen to kids talking about cancer all day long. I know it's for a good cause, and my family has certainly been affected by cancer, but I won't be listening.

I listened to Toucher and Rich this morning and I guess that I'm not in their target audience..........at least I hope I'm not. I turned them on at about 9:15 and listened to the rest of the show. It was a constant giggle-fest during which time they made fun of someone named Crash who was trying to interview some Patriot players. If Crash were not allowed to use the phrase "and, I'm all like..." his participation would consist of dead air. Jon Wallach sounded like he wishes he were somewhere else...anywhere else. I listened to the Andelman brothers once and this was on the same level.

Tanguay and Zolak's show was listenable. Zolak yells too much, but overall not a bad show. Shaughnessy was on for the second half of the show and was pretty good.

I heard Felger's voice at the crossover and turned the radio off.

I know it's a good cause and I send in a few bucks every year, but it's too depressing to listen to the radio-thon all day.
