I was driving on Fowler Ave last night and WMMO came in just as clear as WSJT. Now I can see why this signal is not the best for a place as spread out as Tampa Bay. That begs 3 questions:

1) What would work on 98.7

2) Why is Cox still running the "semi AAA" format on WMMO that they used to have on WBBY ? I liked it and wish it was still in this market.

(3)WMMO also "sounds " live at night. If they are VT'ing, it is a lot more like "live" than what they do here.

I guess smooth jazz will be buried on 98.7 until CBS comes up with an answer to that question...

There aren't any more money making formats left to launch in the compressed radio market of Tampa.
They are better off having a format that is exclusive to the market.

2) Because it works, and has for years. WMMO has had a very successful run since coming around in 1990.

3) Aside from mornings, I believe WMMO is voicetracked most of the day. But I'm not certain as to how much. I'm sure another poster does.
