98.9 History

The only time I had this on in the late 80's when it was KHIT & KOFY-FM

My mian was always on 99.7 or 106.1 when it was CHR

I remember listening to Dance Party on TV20, simulcasting on 1050 & 98.9

Does anyone here listened to 98.9?

I hope I have this all, correct?
I listened when it was KCBS-FM, in the 70's. The DJ, Jack Friday and others were on the station. They did not have a great signal, but I liked them. If I recall correctly their transmitter site was on a building off Jones St., & Clay St . . . a high enough site but like I said signal wasn't great down in Fremont.

Don't know if afterwards the transmitter site moved but when it was KCBS-FM this is where site was located.

At the time they sounded great, the way station was programmed, DJ's, etc.
