Bakersfield 98.9 KHHT Off Air?

The filed a Silent STA earlier this month:

"KHHT(FM), Mettler, CA (Facility ID: 191523), is silent due to loss of internet connectivity at the remote site. As a result, the licensee does not have remote control of the transmitter and are also unable to run required EAS tests. The stations engineers are ordering a replacement Starlink to be able to restore connectivity to the site. In the meantime, the licensee respectfully requests authority to remain silent while this issue can be repaired."

That may be one of the best worded, responsible STA requests I have seen.

I should also point out, since this is a good opportunity to promote it, that @Michi's FCCdata.org is a very convenient place for people to look up such things when they are wondering what's going on with a station.

A look up of KHHT says, right under the ownership contact information at the top of the page, "licensed and silent". And the STA that Lance quoted is right there at the bottom of the application history list, with a link to the FCC document.

She really does a bang-up job of this.
