98.9 KIM-FM

OK... I've lurked for years, but I have to post this comment.....

I know... <.... Drum roll please .....>

Unlike some others on this board, I kinda like KIM-FM. But somebody needs to help these folks find the original versions of the songs they play!

In the last ten minutes I've heard re-recorded versions of Brewer and Shipley's "One Toke Over The Line" and Bo Donaldson And The Heywoods' "Billy, Don't Be A Hero". These are just a couple of examples. The original versions of these songs are readily available. If you need them, call me, I've got em'!

ARGHHHH....!

I think the fact that you heard those two songs in the last 10 minutes speaks volumes about the station and it's future. No amount of TV exposure can keep people listening if the product is screwed up. This is a colossally bad mix of music.

I really enjoy that the station and artists that are being promoted in the TV spot, are so vastly different from what you actually hear on the air. Car dealers have a term for it: "Bait & Switch".

I click over to this station often. I would describe it as 50% good, and 50% crap. That's a strange mix!

When I flip between KIM and SNAP, the oftentimes sound a lot alike. Friends tell me that's not the case, but they sure sound pretty much the same to me.....maybe it's the dance and hip hop that they both throw in.

Kim beats the new Crap 94.1. As I guy I don't listen to Kim much. But when I have heard it at the dentist office, it was much better than Snap.

I think so too. I listened to them both over the Thanksgiving weekend, and I think Kim has better music overall.
