I really have to wonder why no one from Citadel came out during Channel 5's visit to pump up the new station, or did TV 5 choose not to use that.

A friend in TV mentioned that Citadel is asking for TV avails, based on 25-49 Women, for October. Maybe they'll use the time to pump up KIX, if Entercom flips 94.1 to Country. That might be better logic.

Personally, I'd fix the product and imaging before I advertise it on TV. You NEVER want to tell people to check out a subpar product...that's the kiss of death. They'll see a cume infusion for a month or two...and then be as done as Power 99.

According to a Memphis Business Journal article I posted on the other 98.9 thread, Citadel is looking for disk jockeys for this station in early 2007 and the GM is quoted to say "This station brings new life to the Memphis Radio scene". All Access is reporting KIX 106 PD is adding 98.9 KIM PD duties as well.

Okay. So this 10,000 song in a row...commercial-free.
What, I'm guessing three weeks to 24 days of just music and liners, or so?
Then what? Do they already have salespersons on the streets trying to sell it?
Are the other salespeople in the cluster just going to give some "bonuses" on KIM?
I'm guessing the spots will be very reasonable to start with.
