98 Rock Suxs

First off, you'll be happy to know this will be my last post to you on this thread. In fact I believe I've barely posted in it over 13 pages to begin with. But listen... I'm not gonna get into a pissing contest with you Scott. It's fruitless... But it's obvious you don't know how it works and you certainly don't know me or my music taste. Read my post again... I'm trying to give you some friggin advice on where to find the music YOU LIKE. Listen to me man... There are many formats that aren't served on FM just like your active/loud rock or whatever it is your selling. You're not the only one who wishes for a local commercial FM to change direction. All I'm saying is it's not gonna happen here. ...And whoever is telling you that "Active Rock" is "IN" now is full of it. The number of successful pop/urban and adult contemporary stations far outnumber the number of stations playing "active rock". Check the facts man and you'll find the number of people that like new loud rock is far smaller than you think. And finally, it's about music testing and making money... so apparently your research is a bit off.
 
Im not comparing Active rock to that music, Im comparing Active rock - Alternative formats, and 98Rock suxs cause they play mostly Alternative Rock BUT are a so-called Active Rock station. If they were Alternative Rock then I wouldnt be posting this thread. I'm not complaining about 97X cause I dont care about that station. I want what alot of other people want, and thats a New Hard Rock Music thats being played throughout the country thats not on 98rock today, and also it be better to hear 80s-90s hard classics that were big back in the day from time to time instead of hearing STP,Pearl Jam,Nirvana,Weezer,Smashing Punkins every hour on a station that is stuck in 1995.I know 98rock wont change for me or anyone,and I know Adult Comp is the 35-54 #1 is most markets., and again its Active rock vs Alternative rock, and Active Rock beats them out through 92% of the markets,(outside morning drive).
 
People in Tampa Bay Need a New Pure Hit Rock Station, Playing more New Active Rock Per Hour, Playing a few Hardrock Classics that you dont hear anymore(80s-early90s) and Great Shows that let the DJs get the listeners involved.This music "IS" being played in most mid-markets and alot of the top markets are picking up on. Except 98Rock! Even JRR plays more than 3/4 these songs now! You don't agree with this music? Well seems like the rest of the country is coming along with this cause its from many different charts!

List of Songs 98Rock-WJRR should play that are from many different charts such as Billboard,R@R,Metal Edge, European Rock, KHTQ,WJJO,KZRR and couple others. 98Rock suxs cause they need a harder edge with the current music that's out there in other citys outside of this market.MD based on Soundcast dont show real results cause if you dont play the band, it wont sell in your market. Hardin is stuck in the 90s.

This thread jumped the shark around page 2. It's nothing but pure repetition.
 
It died @ page 2, and since most people in radio never graduated from highschool, its about as far as 1 can read!
This topic and song list is going to keep going until I get bored with it or 98rock does some change to their music playlist and get with the rest of the country on current music!

Anyways I guess people still read this!
 
Is that why ive never been able to land a gig in radio is because I graduated high school and went to college. Damn, thats the problem. lol.
 
I was obviously joking..lol! BTW thanks for the PMS on peeps who told me they liked what I would put up on 98rock or any active rock station!
 
Hey medlin whats up!!!!!!!! dont know if you remember me but this is Chaz from BLAK. i stumbled across this and thought i would post. I hope all is well with you. I ran into Ron Miller a while back at the 5 o'clock club in sarasota when i was playing there. it was good to see him and kat. any way i just wanted to say thanks for all the support you gave us back in the day on the PIT. thanks Chaz
