99.1 gets a name

I think it is La Calle with a "C". It means The Street...I don't think "kalle" has a meaning

Univision finally gives hurban KFZO the "La Kalle" name.

All 8 Univision Reggaetón staitons are "Kalle" with a "K." Substitution o fthe "k" for the "c" is a common practice amont 18-34's.

It's been called "Kalle" since the end of its second week on the air.

I guess I'm old school ...

really old school ...

I miss Tejano.

I told Andy Lockridge at Univision. He laughed and said he wondered where the one listener for Tejano was hiding.

In Houston, tuned to KRTX 980. Must be enough residual fans of that genre here to keep it going, albeit on a bottom rated AM. Surprised Univision keeps it going, but there might not be any really viable alternative for that signal.

That would be "klarification."

The station gets minimal ratings, but the Tejano lifestyle group is very responsive to advertisers and is a nice alternative for some advertisers.
