99.1 HITS FM St. John's back to Hot AC?

Hip-hop is all but gone from the playlist and the overall sound seems to indicate a move back to Hot AC, with Rex Goudie, Madonna, Goo Goo Dolls and James Blunt being amongst their most played. Even the current #1 Beyoncé hit is being played with the Slim Thug rap solo edited out. Power heavies which used to average in the 50 spins a week range are now down to around 35. This all reminds me of the last few months of 96X Edmonton before their format change.

Anybody heard anything?
