Noticed a couple of days ago that 99.1 The Game is now broadcasting in stereo. Since the station has been operating in mono since its inception, could the change to stereo indicate a music format of some sort is ready to debut? Last I remember hearing was the translator was scheduled to rebroadcast WAGG. Anyone "in the know" as to what the plans are for 99.1?

99.1 The Game preparing new format?

On the way home tonight I was listening to 99.1, only because they're the local OTA affiliate for the Braves. The TOH ID is now "WZGX, Bessemer-Birmingham/W256CD, Fultondale". Interestingly enough, WZGX was broadcasting their regular format of regional Mexican music.
I have heard the Regional Mexican format still airing on WZGX, too. The LMA was supposed to begin last month on July 1, so I assumed that the sale fell through for whatever reason.
