99.1 Translator to be "Cleveland's New Rock Alternative 99X"?

cleveland ohio radio fans,
thank you for the info. one reason why i asked is cause from what i see on ww.radio-locator.com - W220DM 92.7 has a strong signal in the downtown area of cleveland. maybe thought that was a good place to put wtam 1100 am on the fm dial. you can hear a cleveland indians and cleveland cavs and cleveland browns at the stadiums that they play in. thought that clear channel would be up to some thing.
jdc42 big time cleveland ohio area radio fan.

Maybe CC should consider adding a Lorain County translatter and an east side/Lake and Geauga Counties translator each on different frequencies (maybe 106.1 for east) to help broadcast the 99X format along with 99.1.

This isn't for me, but for those who can't get the station. It could help boost awareness and popularity for them.
I tried to pick up the station while driving to Wickliffe and it was pure static once I got east of downtown on I-90. Couldn't even make it to Dead Man's Curve. I definitely agree on an east side translator.

97.1 in Ashtabula gets into Euclid just fine and covers all of Lake County. Plus, they could move the transmitter into Lake County if they wanted, get better east side Cuyahoga County coverage, and still cover Ashtabula with the necessary grade signal. I remember hoping that they'd flip to alternative around 2000 or 2001 (before 92.3 flipped) based on something I read about another city doing something similar with a 50kw rimshot signal.

In all of the east side areas I frequent (Mayfield Heights, Euclid, etc) where 99.1 is nonexistent, 97.1 is listenable on car radios. Unless 97.1 does gangbusters in Ashtabula and makes enough ad dollars to keep their satellite-fed AC format profitable (and it very well may) I wouldn't think flipping 97.1 to simulcast 99.1 would be a bad idea. (This assumes 97.1 is still owned by CC. I know they used to be, anyway)

None of this will happen in a million years, but conjecture's fun.

If Wilson's new 87.7 is successful, does he make an offer for 97.1 from his old buddy Embrescia and move it down the shore closer to Cleveland? Slide the WREO AC format over to one of their other frequencies. Ashtabula would still have 98.3, 102.5 and 107.5
