So I gave the "new " station a good listen yesterday, about an hour in the daytime and one in the night. The music sounds really good, with the exception of "handlebars" by Flobots which stuck out like a sore thumb and didn't fit at all. It's really strange to me that Equity gave KISS S J number one music station after WAYV went as that so many years. They need to put someone on the air though. The Breakers were repetitive and it was screaming for a jock.

With the loss of "The Buzz", as South Jersey's only Urban CHR outlet, what SJ station could fill that format hole? WJSE? WXKW (97.3)? Philly's Urban stations are too far to be heard in AC proper and along the coast down to Cape May.

1. They are paying to use the "Kiss" brand.

2. There is no money in "urban".... even if you are #1, people do not want to buy urban... at least not in this market... and believe me I have the same feeling you do... if it's #1 then it should make money or it's the sales people's fault... but the reason why Q-102 went from Urban to more Urban A/C in 1993 was because Gil and the sales team were screaming that they could not make money... even though the station had a 6.8 12+ at one point... 6.8! you will never ever ever see that stick get that rating again...

Rob...Belkins? Go to RS, pick up a headhone extension cord, put in series with the unit. Stretch vertical. Good on car antenna for a good mile radius on two AA's, further on 5 volts. Not that I've ever done anything like that, but, like, I'm just saying, ya know?
