Yes!!! It's only a matter of time before they do as they already run the weekend show on Saturdays. Charlamagne is from Moncks Corner and is well known in Charleston. He was once on HOT 98.9 and Z93 JAMZ. Interesting that the former longtime local morning show on Z93 was named "Da Breakfuss Club."
It's a wrap for Big Boy's Neighborhood. The Breakfast Club Morning Show will be airing from 5:30am-10am Monday-Friday. Their using Charlamagne's voice to promote the change.

Update: Big Boy's Neighborhood is being moved to 10am-3pm.

In the case of The Box wouldn't they be much better off cutting Big Boy loose altogether as opposed to keeping him and putting him on tape delay? I don't know too many stations running syndicated shows successfully in the long run in the Eastern and Central time zones, and it would piss off some listeners trying to call into the show. As for TBC, this would be the first non-CC urban to take the show.
Not feeling the midday move. Most of the new Hip-Hop stations are running jockless during middays. I'm happy that Charleston has another Urban station, but the lineup has changed as the APD Flu Season has exited the station. They need new voiceovers.

IIRC Didn't Pat Garrett do the VOs when the station launched? Not too much a fan of Pat anymore but I'm curious if he is still doing the imaging.Not feeling the midday move. Pat Garret has maybe 2 or 3 voiceovers on there. Him, Mike Johnson, KD Bowe and Rick Party IMO are the nest Urban voiceovers. I wish Apex would promote The Box harder. I don't think they cross promote on STAR 99.7 but I'm sure it would get the word out. The website is still a splash homepage and the social media hasn't been update since Flu Season exited. Also, I feel like they should call out Z93 in promos. Nothing like a good Urban radio war.
