99,3 the buzz should change its name

I'm tempted to agree. Then again, "The Buzz as hip-hop station" has long out-lived "The Buzz as dance station." Listeners have apparently been able to put up with the moniker all this time.

The South Jersey shore probably has no predisposition to expect hip hop from a HOT station (97.1 in NYC) or what passes for CHR these days (99.5 in DC). But, as asked before ... why fix what's not broken?

Change it's name to what? If and when the time comes......it will happen.

During the last year it seems like the Buzz Cannot Decide if it wants to be an Urban format or a Rhythmic format. The Begining of the Year It sounded 100% Urban During the Middle of the year it was in between Urban and Rhythmic. The last Month or so Their Playlist is VERY Rhythmic As it was 5 years ago.

to the OP you must live in an area where you could get Atlantic City and NYC Stations at the same time. NYC had a "buzz" station one of many formats on the 105.1 freq. The Buzz in NYC was a HotAC If I remember right

105.1 FM/The Buzz was a Modern AC, on the air in NYC from 11/96-10/97. During its eleven months on the air, it had three different sets of call letters (WMXV, WDBZ, WNSR) -- which oughta tell you how quickly it was thrown on, and how quickly corporate decided to abandon it.
