**CORRECTION** I said there was a problem with KISS at UTSA downtown, I meant UTSA 1604 campus area. There's nothing wrong with recpeiton on the downtown campus.
It also kinda depends on what you listen to. The pirate station doesn't affect cars; car stereos have a tendency to have really good reception..I spend most of my nights in my car listening to FM stations from Houston, Autin, Corpus, Victoria. the problem with KISS in reception occurs over by UTSA 1604, usually on home or portable radio devices, espically on analog tuners. I have a Pioneer SX636 receiver from 1975, which gets good reception, but not for KISS or even 101.9. Same thing with my Sony boombox I hve in my backyard, which is analog as well. But I also can't get it on my Sony Walkman, which is a digital tuner. Probably doesn't make a difference if it's digital or analog (I prefer a analog tuner w/ a digital display as well like the ealry 80s Pioneer receivers). Anyways, come over to the Babcock/1604 area. Reception is bad, unless you want to sit in your car all day and listen to the radio. I've emailed the FCC before about this problem, seems like noting has happened.
