99.5 translator on the move again!!

Fuller's also moving his Montauk translator which is currently being fed by WJJF further west into the heart of the hamptons.

The move of 99.5 into Waterbury is a great move.
 
The WATR site is a couple of miles closer to the city, which I bet helps. I'd also assume it's easier to strike an affordable rental agreement with WATR than it is with Tribune, who still owns the old WTXX tower.

And then posted a correction - it's applying for the old analog channel 20 WTXX tower nearby.

Sorry Scott. Didn't see your correction. Unless something big happens I usually only look at your site twice a week. Mondays (before or after work depending on my schedule) for the news column. And Fridays for the Site of the Week.
 
99.5 is part of the Bomba translator network. It's really good Spanish CHR.

It should have a pretty good signal, centered over Waterbury's hispanic population, and it'll probably do alright in parts of Meriden and Wallingford where 97.1 can be a little spotty.
 
Does this mean I'll be able to pick up the headsets/orderbox at Burger King in Cromwell again? Currently, I can only get it right at the order window, where I used to get it as soon as I pull into the drive-thru or was close enough to the building.
